Partagas 150 C Anniversary 22 Year Old $200 Cigar Review – This 5.5×49 stick features a dark tan wrapper with a slight plume coating, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap, firm pack, oily fine sand paper tooth and deep cedar aroma. This was produced in 1995 with an 18 year old wrapper, given to me in 2013 and now has a 40 year old wrapper along with it’s 22 years of humidor aging. First light reveals a slightly snug draw with good thick smoke output showing flavors of a mild-medium very smooth deep wood with a fairly short clean finish just adding a slight pepper tingle. The first third burns perfectly but fast, showing a very smooth slightly sweet leather on the draw followed by a thick potent cedar through the now long finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point at just 20 minutes, the flavors change very little with the leather dropping replaced by a straight tobacco on the draw and the finish going to a dry parched wood. Ash drops in 1.5″ chunks with a razor sharp burn line. Ending down the to cool nub the last third showed no further changes.
