Drew Estate Liga Privada No. 9 Box Pressed Toro Exclusivamente Cigar Review – This box pressed 6×50 stick is unique for Corona Cigar Co and features a dark chocolate mottled wrapper with a soft even pack, oily buttery soft feel, small veins, tight invisible seams, large triple cap and faint sweet woody aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with copious amounts of thick medium bodied smoke showing a slightly sweet earth on the draw followed by a zing black pepper just at the tail end of the long finish. The first third burns well with a fairly wonky burn, possibly from the box press. Flavors are largely the same going a touch smoother and dropping down a notch on the pepper while the finish is a deep plumb sweetness and heavy but mild earth. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes with a decent burn, needing a touchup where the first ash dropped. Flavors are muted, dropping the distinct flavors going to a general wet earth and the slight sweetness lasting through the shortening finish. Ending at 55 minutes where it got too hot for me, from the band point back a black coffee came in joining the earthiness and as the cherry warmed things up the finish went to a hot nuttiness.
