This 5.75×44 stick features a dark brown firmly packed wrapper with a light heft, smooth oily texture, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and very pungent cedar aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plumes of full bodied smoke showing flavors of a slightly bitter straight tobacco followed by a dry nuttiness through the long finish. The first third comes down a tick to medium-full body, dropping the bitterness for a subtle nutmeg on the draw. Burn and draw are flawless. The 1/2 way point comes in at 25 minutes dropping the ash in solid inch chunks. Flavors change slightly adding a touch of sweet cream to the start of the draw while the plain tobacco dominates the finish. Ending at 55 minutes the last third slowed the burn a bit and showed no flavor changes. Thank you to La Gran Llave for sending this for review!
