This 4.5×50 stick features a very dark brown mottled lumpy firm pack with minimal veins, tight seams, sloppy triple cap, very oily slightly toothy feel and a potent hay and licorice aroma.  First light reveals a slightly snug draw with good medium-full bodied smoke production showing flavors of a sweet syrupy earth and pepper with a short oily finish.  The first third burns perfectly and slowly delivering a big pepper and earth blast both on the draw and finish.  The 1/2 way point comes at 30 minutes burning very well and quite slowly.  Flavors remain unchanged but a big strength is quickly ramping up almost catching the body.  Ending early at 45 min only because I’m a light weight and the strength was going to full, the last third showed no flavor changes and had perfect construction.
