This 6×56 soft box pressed stick features a dark brown mottled wrapper with a soft even pack, buttery smooth oily wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and rich cocoa and hay aroma. First light reveals a very loose draw producing medium bodied flavors of a spicy, metallic earth and leather with some heat and pepper over the tongue lasting well to the next draw. The first third is mild-medium with an airy almost whispy mouthfeel. Flavors are a deep warm earth dominating followed by the same spicy pepper and a tobacco through the finish. A slight bitterness lingers but nothing is harsh. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes, the body comes up a tick to medium, the pepper mellows a bit and the earth still dominates with just a lingering plain tobacco finish yet no strength from this double ligero blend yet. Ending at 1:15 the last third showed no further changes.
