This 6×52 stick is a project by former blogger Barry Stein, who you may have seen on a CO Live show back when he was with Miami Cigar Co. It features a dark chocolate mottled wrapper with a firm even pack, slick buttery feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and pungent sweet coffee and cocoa aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with medium-full bodied smoke showing a big slightly bitter tobacco quickly followed by a potent pepper and spice through the long finish. The first third quickly shifts to a vegetal and tobacco mix that again quickly shifts to a dry tobacco and coffee flavor. The finish still has a pepper and spice build up but it’s milder. 30 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the ash has dropped twice in clean chunks, flavors have shifted to a touch of the dry tobacco with a bigger coffee and cream at the core. The finish has dropped most of the pepper and spice holding on to an oily earthiness. Ending at 1:10 the last third burned slowly, shifting to a warm zingy earth followed by the same through the finish. Thank you to Barry Stein for sending this for review!
