This 7×38 lancero features a dark chocolate, smooth, firmly packed slightly oily wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, a triple coiled cap and rich cocoa and tobacco aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with copious amounts of thick creamy, chewy full bodied smoke with smooth flavors of a zingy meatiness, soft earth, slight pepper and sweetness with a long finish. The first third brings a big creamy leather in while the rest of the blend continues all the way through the finish with perfect construction. The ash drops in big 2″ chunks and by the 1/2 way point 35 minutes in, the leather is replaced by a dark chocolate and coffee while some heat is added to the oily finish. Ending at the hour mark, the last third drops the cream just leaving the deeper cocoa and coffee flavors while the finish drops the pepper and spice staying long and smooth. That’s what she said.
