Padron 3000 Natural Cigar Review
This 5.5×52 stick features a dark chocolate (yes the ‘natural’ wrapper Padron cigars are very dark and sometimes hard to tell apart from the maduro counterparts) oily, slightly toothy wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, typical Padron single cap (my only complaint with their policies) and a sweet musty cocoa aroma. First light reveals a very open draw with good medium bodied smoke production showing a light airy mix of flavors including a peppery earth, touch of sweetness and a spice that builds on the tail end of the finish. The first third burns well still with a loose draw but great medium bodied smoke pushing to medium-full on the finish. Cocoa, cream, a touch of coffee and the pepper & spice combo are all hitting. The 1/2 way point comes at 30 minutes holding the same flavor profile, toning down the pepper and spice just a touch and bringing in a mild-medium strength. Ending at 50 minutes the last third continued the same great performance with the strength ramping up to medium-full. This is part of my Hidden Treasure 2 Sampler, get yours while it lasts!
