Rocky Patel Corojo Especial Toro Cigar Review
This 6×52 stick features a dark brown firmly packed wrapper with an oily, glove soft feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and a faint peppery wood aroma. First light reveals a slightly snug draw with very light whispy smoke output showing medium bodied flavors of a slightly bitter grass and mild pepper and wood through the short finish. The first third takes on a bit of espresso on the draw that quickly fades to a soft wood and pepper on the finish. Burn is good, draw is better but the smoke itself is still very airy, just not delivering much of anything yet. The 1/2 way point comes at 20 minutes burning very poorly with tunneling requiring a recut and relight. Fortunately that cured all the problems, bringing out twice as much smoke, richer flavors and adding a cream on the draw. Ending at just 35 minutes no doubt due to the poor front half, the last third showed no further changes. Thank you to StogieBoys.com for providing this sample to review!
