BMC Swinger After Dark Cigar Review

This 6×52 stick from Blue Mountain Cigars features a dark chocolate firmly packed satin finished wrapper with minimal veins tight invisible seams, large double pigtailed cap and dusty dry wood aroma. First light reveals a slightly snug draw with medium bodied smoke showing flavors of a metallic iron like earth with a sweet kick followed by a short clean finish. The first third continues the sweet earthy core but adds a pepper and cocoa mix especially on the retrohale, which isn’t harsh at all. The finish gets longer, just lasting to the next draw. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes the flavor profile remains the same, burn is ok, not needing a touchup but not straight either. Ending early with a couple inches left 50 minutes in, the overall burn and performance was just too frustrating to continue. The burn line was fine and it didn’t tunnel, yet flavors were mushy and inconsistent one draw to the next just leaving a damp ashtray taste especially on the finish. Thank you to Blue Mountain Cigars for sending this one in!
