Toscano Anno Domini 1492 Cigar Review
This hand rolled rustic stick features a very firm lumpy pack with a double tapered shape. According to the company it can be smoked whole (as I do) or cut in 1/2 and enjoyed as two tiny cigars if you don’t have a lot of time. It has minimal veins, tight seams, two identical open ends and the most campfire aroma you will ever encounter. It blows away any other cigar identified with ‘Kentucky Fire Cured’ tobacco because this is made 100% from it. First light reveals a snug draw with ok smoke output giving a slightly sweet smoky tobacco that builds through the long finish. The first half burns very well but only holds the ash for 1/2 inch at time. The draw quickly opened up to perfect, putting off great smoke and a medium-full body keeping the same profile. Ending at 1:20 the last bit dropped the slight sweetness going to a bitter coffee and strong deep earth and smoky tobacco with a good touch of strength to round it out.
