Rocky Patel Renaissance Toro Cigar Review
This 6×52 stick features a dark brown mottled wrapper with a soft even pack, thick leather texture, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and a pungent manure aroma. First light reveals a loose draw with mild-medium flavors of a slightly bitter oily tobacco lasting through the long finish. The first third adds a earth to the draw and a deep pepper on the finish but the bitter tobacco core is still there. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes with great construction and a slower burn. Everything is still there but the bitterness that finally dropped off. Body is up to a medium by this point. Ending at a very impressive 1 hour 30 minutes, the last third brought an occasional chocolate to the mix otherwise staying the same. Thank you to viewer Jeff Oda for sending this in for review! This was the 2nd one of the pair sent in, with an extra year on it for comparison. For the first review go here: https://cigarobsession.com/2013/11/14/rocky-patel-renaissance-toro-cigar-review/
