Bahia Maduro Panchos Cigar Review

This dark brown, almost black stick features a softly packed oily wrapper with minimal veins, color spotting, tight invisible seams, double cap and a pungent sweet musty barnyard aroma in a 5.5×52 size. First light reveals a perfect draw with mild-medium bodied smoke showing a creamy textured, very smooth oily slightly sweet earth note with a nuttiness and wood through the short clean finish. The first third burns fast but very well, bringing body up to a medium, adding a nice soft pepper to the mix while the finish grows much longer. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 25 minutes the profile shifts, dropping the nut, wood, sweetness and pepper just leaving a deeper earth all the way through. Ending at 45 minutes where it got too hot for my taste, the last third showed no further changes. Thank you to viewer Mike Boucher for providing this sample for review!
