La Herencia Cubana Oscuro Fuerte Toro Cigar Review

This 6.5×50 stick features a dark brown slightly oily and firm wrapper with a little tooth, dense pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and pungent hay and nut aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with mild-medium smoke showing flavors of a smooth sweet earth on the draw followed by a slightly more intense pepper and spice joining in. The first third comes up in body and complexity bringing a medium body flavor combo of all the other flavors at one plus a bit of cocoa. The 1/2 way point comes at 30 minutes, taking out the spice and most of the sweetness, ramping up the creamy textured earth leaving a much deeper more substantial finish. Ending at 55 minutes, the last third ramps up the strength matching the body at medium, while the sweetness returns on the draw with a dried cherry note. Thank you very much to viewer Mike Boucher for sending this for review!
