Sam Leccia Black Toro Cigar Review
This 6×50 stick features a ashy dark brown oily wrapper with an even slightly spongy pack, a couple medium veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and rich hay aroma. First light reveals a great draw with good medium bodied smoke production showing a parched, dry tobacco on the draw quickly followed by a long smooth sweet earth on the finish joining in. The first third melds all the first light flavors together, both the same on the draw and the finish. Burn is fast and decent but not razor sharp. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes, the tobacco core drops out leaving a thicker deep earth with a bit of pepper on the finish. The sweetness goes towards a caramel and gets oily and longer lasting. Burn is good and the ash holds for decent chunks. Finishing at 55 minutes the third shows no further changes.
