Foundry Elements Carbon Cigar Review

This 5.5×60 stick features a chunky dark brown mottled wrapper with a firm pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and rich musty hay aroma. First light reveals a good draw with light medium bodied sweet oily creamy earth smoke followed by a short clean finish. The first third smokes perfectly, with a razor sharp burn and perfect draw showing flavors much like the start, added to by a smooth nuttiness on the draw and very slight pepper flavor on the finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 40 minutes, the blend shows no changes at all, continuing the same perfect performance, dropping the ash 30 minutes in with a solid thud. Ending at 1:15 the last third dropped the sweetness and nut just going to a smooth deeper earth with a bolder pepper staying through the now long finish. Thank you to Foundry Cigars for providing this sample for review!
