The Collective By Ezra Zion Cigar Review
This 6.25×52 box pressed stick which is branded for Cigar Federation features a dark chocolate mottled wrapper with a soft pack and a few softer spots, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap, dry paper bag like texture and slight vinegar and wood aroma. First light reveals a big full bodied smooth oily sweet earth and pepper with a long finish. The first third develops to a more complex profile with a smooth creamy earth, caramel sweetness, nuts and a peppery spice through the finish. Body is down to medium-full with excellent smoke output and a perfect draw. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes and unfortunately the great construction falls a bit needing a big touchup, hitting some of the soft points and not producing much smoke with a very loose draw. flavor wise it adds a touch of a creamy cocoa and a mild strength joins in. The last third burns much better again, going back to a medium-full body, touch of strength and a profile of a very deep creamy earth with a pepper at the end.
