Tailored By Alec Bradley Connecticut Robusto Cigar Review
This 5×52 stick features a tan firmly packed wrapper with a buttery soft slightly oily feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap and faint woody aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with great medium-full bodied smoke output showing flavors of a deep earth, toast, tobacco and long pepper joining in through the finish. The first third burns well but quickly, developing a fairly complex blend of flavors especially for the price. There’s a sweet creamy oily nut coming in, with a fleeting leather then a pepper and spice through the finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 20 minutes holding the same flavor combo, dropping the ash in a solid chunk. Ending at 40 minutes with an inch left the last third added a touch of strength, dropped the creaminess and leather, just going to a deep peppery earth.
