Punch 2014 Rare Corojo Salomones Cigar Review
This 7.25×57 stick features a unique shape, firm even pack, dark brown mottled wrapper with an oily butter soft feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams and faint sweet earthy aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with minimal smoke output showing very smooth creamy textured flavors of a sweet candy like earth and pepper with aa tingle through the finish. Thee first third quickly comes down in body to a medium and drops most of the pepper. Most likely due to the abundance of wrapper at the very start with the taper. The 2nd third starts by dropping a solid ash, bringing the pepper slightly back on the finish and there’s a hint of mint on the draw joining in. 1 hour in just before the band point, flavors continue to change, slowly bringing back the sweetness, also a fruity dried cherry note through the finish which is also getting longer and stronger with more pepper. Body is ramping up to a medium-full still with no strength. Ending at 1:25 the last third brought the sweet earth up more on the draw and through the finish. Thank you very much to Punch Cigars for sending in this sample for review!
