Sindicato Hex Churchill Cigar Review

This 7×54 stick features a dark brown mottled wrapper with a firm pack, oily slightly toothy feel, medium veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap with a pigtail and a rich oily cedar and hay aroma. First light reveals a good draw with mild-medium bodied smoke output showing a light smooth and oily slightly bitter cedar with a short clean finish. The first third completely changes gears giving a medium bodied dusty chocolate with a tiny bit of pepper, then the finish goes to a slick slightly sweet light earth. Performance is perfect with a slow straight burn and perfect draw. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes, dropping the ash in a solid third chunk, with perfect performance. Flavors shift just a bit replacing the chocolate on the draw with a smooth earth and hint of coffee. Starting the last third at 55 minutes flavors change up quite a bit showing a medium-full bodied smooth, sweet leather and big pepper on the draw with much of it lasting through the long finish. A bit of strength is coming in as well, up to a mild-medium so far. Ending at 1:30 the last bit continued to bring out the flavors bringing back the chocolate to the mix and getting much creamier. Thank you very much to Sindicato Cigars for providing this for review!
