J&D Cigar Co Allure Torpedo Cigar Review
This 6×52 stick features a dark brown oily slightly spongy wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams and a pungent barnyard aroma. First light reveals a good draw with rich mild-medium smoke output showing a smooth silky sweet tobacco and a long finish of the same with a little zing on the tongue. The first third comes up to a solid medium body showing the same soft silky, creamy texture and oily long finish. Flavors on the draw are a very slightly sweet leather, shifting to a mellow earth and pepper through the finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes, moving to a very smooth sweet caramel and light leather, both of which stay through the thick long finish. Construction is excellent with a great draw and burn, dropping the ash in third chunks. One hour in to the last inch it starts to get warm and squishy so I’ll end it on a good note. No strength and the same great flavors all the way down the last third! Thank you very much to J&D for providing this sample at the 2013 IPCPR show to review!
