Felipe Gregorio FG 2009 Robusto Cigar Review
This 5×50 stick features a soft, dry squishy dark brown wrapper with minimal veins, tight seams, single cap and peppery cedar aroma. First light reveals an extremely complex smooth blend of flavors with a full body. They include a creamy sweet earth, chocolate and cedar with a thick oily mouthfeel and long finish of the same. The first third burns well but fairly quickly, with an easy draw and copious smoke output. Body is at a medium-full with smooth thick and rich flavors of a leather, earth, cream, coffee and a bit of pepper joining the tail end of the long finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 25 minutes, the cream and leather drop off, the ash holds for a solid chunk and performance is excellent. Finishing at 50 minutes to the hot nub, the last third pushes with a bigger earthiness and much fuller deep finish. Thank you to viewer Dale Wilson for providing me with this sample for review!
