Black Crown Robusto Cigar Review
This 5×52 stick features a dark brown oily satin finished wrapper with medium veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap, even spongy pack and a rich earth and chocolate aroma. First light reveals a smooth, oily medium boded smoke showing a soft chocolate and earth flavor to go along with the aroma. The finish is light and short, pulling most of the earth through. The first third doesn’t go so well, needing a big touch up and burning hot by the start of the 2nd third with a huge cherry. Flavors are a bit muted dropping the chocolate for a slight caramel sweetness, keeping the earth but adding a damp ash tray like finish. The 2nd third doesn’t improve any, just going a bit more muted. Construction is ok at least but the nasty aftertaste sticks around. Finishing out at the hour mark, flavors finally get a bit more interesting on the draw, growing a stronger medium bodied earth with a bit of cream and sweetness unfortunately still followed by the lingering damp earth finish. Strength also kicks in just a bit, hitting a medium at the most just letting me know it’s there. Thank you very much to viewer DT Productions for sending this in for review!
