Kinky Friedman Big Richard Cigar Review
This 6.5×54 stick features a very dark chocolate mottled wrapper with a firm even pack, oily smooth feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap and rich musty tobacco aroma. First light reveals a fairly snug draw with minimal smoke output showing mild-medium body with a smooth oily sweet creamy tobacco followed by a soft short finish. The first third burns well with a slow even progression very quickly morphing to just a plain damp tobacco on the draw and the short finish. By 35 minutes in the 2nd third is going by with much the same performance, bringing up the natural sweetness to mix with the damp tobacco notes. Finishing at 1:30 the last half really came into its own, slowing the burn, bringing a thicker richer smoke and amping the flavors back up to a very smooth tobacco with the same sweetness and cream from the start, still with perfect construction and long solid ash drops. Thank you very much to Dexter Hicks for sending this sample in for review, I really appreciate it!
