Montecristo Monte Jacopo No.2 Cigar Review
This 6×54 box pressed stick features a dark brown soft satin wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, a firm even pack and rich sweet wood and tobacco aroma. First light reveals a very snug draw with minimal mild-medium smoke output with soft wood and tobacco flavors and a short clean finish. The first third opens the draw producing normal amounts of medium bodied smoke with just a subtly sweet soft airy wood and an almost minty aftertaste on the short finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes the ash drops in a solid chunk, performance is excellent with a razor sharp burn and body is up to a medium. Flavors shift slightly dropping the sweetness and the wood gets deeper with a parched mouthfeel on the finish. Ending out at 1:10 The last third continues the same performance to the nub. Thank you very much to Altadis for sending this sample for review!
