Arcángel Churchill Cigar Review
This 7×52 stick features a dark brown slightly mottled wrapper with dense firm pack, small veins, tight invisible seams, dry satin feel, double cap and sweet barnyard aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with adequate medium-full bodied smoke output showing an oily, smooth straight tobacco with a fairly short finish. The first third comes down to a medium body, keeping the straight tobacco flavor but lengthening the finish and adding a bit of grit like a pepper zing without the flavor. Burn is very good, nice and slow with a perfect line and the draw loosened up just a bit. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 40 minutes the only changes are a sweet wood joining the draw and the gritty mouthfeel removed from the finish leaving just a deep plain tobacco taste. Ending at the band, flavors got bitter, the draw was increasingly tough and a bit of tar started building up. Thank you very much to Arcangel Cigars for providing me with this sample for review!
