Macanudo Vintage 2006 Robusto Cigar Review
This 5.5×50 stick features a dark tan wrapper with a soft smooth feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap and a gorgeous heavy, metal band along with a foot band, with a soapy aroma. First light reveals a slightly snug raw with good smoke output giving medium-full bodied flavors of a smooth, creamy textured leather with a pepper coming through on the long finish. The first third develops to a sweet caramel and cedar, carrying through the finish dropping most of the pepper, still with a smooth creamy texture. Draw is perfect, burn is good and smoke output is excellent. The 1/2 way point comes at 40 minutes, dropping the ash in a solid chunk and continuing the same great performance and flavor profile. Ending at 1:20 with an inch remaining, the whole cigar proved to be very consistent. Thank you very much to General Cigar for sending this for review!
