Montecristo Epic Toro Cigar Review
This 6×52 stick features a dark chocolate, smooth and oily wrapper with a very firm pack, triple cap, minimal veins, tight invisible seams and a rich coffee aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw, plenty of rich smoke output with a medium body showing flavors of a smooth oily sweet tobacco and a buttery soft earthy long finish. The first third mellows a bit to mild-medium with minimal smoke output but a good amount of richness and a perfect easy draw. Burn is good and flavors are a very oily, creamy earth a bit of coffee with a fairly short clean finish. 30 minutes in at the 1/2 way point flavors are pretty much the same just dropping the coffee and ramping up the earth a bit, although it’s on the light side, not a deep musty earth. Smoke output is still light but flavors come easily and the burn is great. Ending at 1 hour 10 minutes the last third produces a medium bodied deep earth with quite a strength kick, overtaking the flavor profile with a buzz. Thank you to Altadis for sending this out in a 3-pack box for review and including Cigar Obsession in the blogger sample pack program!
