La Aurora Preferidos Maduro Sun Grown #2 Cigar Review
This 5×54 (actually a bit short of 5) features a dark brown rough, dry wrapper with minimal veins, tight seams, an even spongy pack and pungent manure aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with thick rich full bodied smoke output giving flavors of a deep, oily, rich earthy leather with a bit of black pepper flavor through the long chewy finish. The first third mellow slightly with a smooth combo of a slightly creamy leather, deep earthy tobacco and bit of black licorice followed by a long oily finish. 30 minutes in ending the 2nd third, there have been no flavors shifts, construction is very good just needing a small touchup. Ending at 50 minutes where the nub got very hot, this had an impressive burn time for it’s small size! The last third showed no further changes, proving it to be a very consistent smoke all the way down.
