San Cristobal Elegancia Imperial Cigar Review
This 6×52 stick features a dark tan smooth firm wrapper with minimal veins, tight seams, dry paper bag feel, triple cap and a sweet woody aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with good thick smoke output, medium-full body flavors of a bitter peppery tobacco and a long bitter oily finish. The first third drops the bitterness but holds on to a rough almost pepper zing that goes to the back of the throat, like it needs several more months of aging to smooth out. Draw flavors are a mild-medium dry wood, very unlike the rest of the San Cristobals. By the 1/2 way point the roughness has come down a good bit but still there, mixing with a very dry tobacco and wood flavor, while the body is up to a medium with an oily slick left on the lips. Ending at 1:05 the last third showed no further changes.
