A. Flores 1975 Serie Privada Capa Maduro Cigar Review

This 5×52 box pressed stick features a very soft and suple oily smooth tan wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, a light pack, triple cap and a mild damp pepper aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw and just mild peppery tobacco flavor with a long finish. The first third snugs up where it should be in just 1/8″, upping the body to a solid medium with smooth oily mellow tobacco and pepper but just leaving a zing, no heat. The 2nd third needs just one minor touchup and flavors remain unchanged. 1 hour in at the band point it needed another minor touchup just to correct a flap on the wrapper and a touch of a cinnamon sweetness is creeping in. Ending at 1:10 the last third ramped up the strength tremendously to the point where I couldn’t handle it, making me very dizzy, sweaty and not feeling well at all…I can’t take a lot of strength in cigars! This is set to debut in August 2012 at the IPCPR show.
