Arturo Fuente Solaris Cigar Review
This 6×49 torpedo features a dark tan and slightly red wrapper with firm, slightly lumpy pack, minimal veins, tight seams, dry smooth texture and a mild wood aroma. First light reveals a complex medium-full blend of flavors giving a slightly sweet wood, dry earth, black pepper and bit of an oil on the lips, through the long full finish. Draw is perfect and smoke production is plentiful. The first third starts out with a transition fairly quickly, going to a sugary sweet light wood, pepper and leather with a smooth long finish of the same. 35 minutes in at the 1/2 way point, the ash held on for the first third, and flavors have morphed a bit. The sweetness is gone, replaced by an earth and the wood has grown deeper. Ending at 1:15 the last third shows no further flavor changes but does ramp up the strength considerably, leaving me quite light headed with a rush. Thank you very much to Smoke Inn, the exclusive source for these cigars, for providing this sample for review!
