Caddyshack Golf Tournament Connecticut Cigar Review
This 7×50 churchill sized stick was produced for the 2011 Caddyshack Golf tournament and features a tan wrapper with a very soft spongy but even pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap, glove soft leather like feel and pungent hay aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with plenty of medium-full body smoke giving flavors of a rich bitter oily grass flavor with a long finish. The first third drops the bitterness and settles to a mild-medium slightly sweet grass with a bit of a roughness and very short clean finish. Draw is a bit better just on the snug side, smoke output and burn are both very good. The wrapper has split a bit at the foot but the binder is holding just fine. 40 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the ash has fallen twice, body is at a mild-medium and flavors are just a slightly rough wood with a heavy aftertaste. Ending at 1:35 most of the remainder of the stick was more of the same, only changing to a sweet coffee flavor at the very end when it got very hot. Thank you very much to viewer Ben Widener for sending this in along with the Maduro version from a little while back!
