Blanco Cigars Maduro Robusto Cigar Review
This 5×52 cigar features a very dark almost black firm wrapper with a rough sandpaper tooth, double cap, minimal veins, tight invisible seams and a sweet, peppery manure aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with just a touch of resistance, tons of thick smoke output with a medium-full body flavor profile of a creamy, smooth tobacco and a bit of pepper and spice though the long finish. The first third progresses without any flavor changes, just being a bit of a challenge to keep burning with such a thick wrapper. Taking double quick puffs completely cures it however, and it’s burning just fine as far as it’s performance and line. 35 minutes in at the 1/2 way point it needed a quick touchup to even out the wrapper and had no flavor shifts. Ending at 1 hour in where it got too warm for my taste, it proved to be a very consistent stick all the way down as far as flavor, but also bringing quite a strength rush for the last 1/2.
