Montecristo Tubos Cigar Review
This 6×42 cigar comes packaged in a cedar sleeve, inside an aluminum tube with a screw on cap. It features a medium tan wrapper with a dry, toothy buttery texture, minimal veins, tight seams, triple cap and soft tobacco aroma. First light reveals a slightly snug draw, good smoke output with medium-full body flavors of a very deep tobacco and strong wood with a bit of pepper finishing long. The first third brings a very dry, sharp cedar and pepper on the draw, while the finish gets a bit longer and shows a spiciness over the tongue. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes dropping the ash in a solid chunk. Construction is flawless with a perfect burn draw and smoke output, very thick and rich. Flavors get a bit heavier with the wood coming up and the finish even longer. Ending at 50 minutes the last third adds a touch of creaminess and sweetness while the wood is still big and bold. Thank you very much to viewer Ralph for generously sending this in!
