Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Churchill Cigar Review
This 7×48 box pressed maduro cigar features a soft supple dark chocolate wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, slight tooth and oil sheen, triple cap and a buttery, pepper and tobacco aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw, plenty of rich smoke with medium bodied flavors of a sweet creamy tobacco with a long smooth finish. The first third provides the same rich flavors from the first light, continuing excellent construction and burn. 25 minutes in at the start of the 2nd third it transitions to a rich creamy pepper and coffee, with an oily medium-full smoke and long finish. The ash drops off in a solid chunk (all over my lap) and performance is perfect. 45 minutes in finishing the 2nd third, the coffee ramps up even more also adding a nice spicy compliment especially through the oily finish. Ending at 1:10 the last third showed no further changes.
