Montecristo Red Robusto Cigar Review

This 5×50 cigar features a butter soft dark tan wrapper with minor veins, even spongy give, tight seams, triple cap and mild wood aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw, good smoke production of mild bodied grassy and cedar flavors. It’s very smooth and subtle, no bitterness, very soft. The first third produces the same flavors, getting creamy in texture and brings the body to a solid medium. The finish is short and clean, with excellent smoke output and a nice tight ash. 35 minutes in at the 1/2 way point flavors remain unchanged, the ash held on in a solid chunk and smoke output increased slightly. Ending at 1 hour the entire stick proved to be very consistent and one-dimensional, typical of the brand. Thank you very much to viewer Jérémie Plouffe for sending this in for review!
