Cigari Connecticut Borusto Cigar Review

This 5×50 stick features a fairly dark brown wrapper, very dark for a Connecticut. It’s firm and dry to the touch like a paper bag, with a double cap, a few small and medium veins with a slight chocolate and hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful thick smoke production. Flavors are a medium bodied creamy leather with a bit of bitter tobacco, very smooth and silky in the mouth with a long finish. The first third settles to a mild-medium creamy leather with a bit of tobacco on the end of the draw. The finish changes to a general earth while still remaining creamy and smooth. Burn and draw are perfect producing a rich smoke output. 25 minutes in at the 1/2 way point there are no flavor changes however the body has come up near full with plenty of rich smooth taste. With no further changes through the last third, the cigar ended at 50 minutes where it got too hot for my taste. Thank you very much to Cigari Cigars for generously providing this sample for review!
