La Gloria Cubana Artesanos Retro Especial Club Cigar Review
This 5.75×47 stick features a dark tan soft wrapper with a even spongy give, very light pack, triple cap, a couple minor veins, tight invisible seams and a soapy barnyard aroma. First light reveals an extremely loose draw, no resistance. Huge amounts of rich full bodied smoke with flavors of a slightly bitter tobacco, a little pepper on the long finish and an oily smooth mouthfeel. The first third develops to extremely creamy flavors of a slightly sweet tobacco, very rich and smooth with no roughness or bitterness at all. There is a bit of black pepper flavor on the end of the draw in to the finish which also brings on some oily heat on the lips with sweet hot flavors just like Big Red gum although not intense. 30 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the ash has fallen off in a solid chunk and the strength has slowly built up, giving a nice little kick and rush while the body and flavors remain unchanged. Ending at 55 minutes the last third continued with no further changes. Thank you very much to General Cigar for sending this for review!
