Cuba Libre One Toro Cigar Review
This 6×52 cigar features a dark chocolate slightly mottled wrapper with an even spongy give, tight seams, small veins, triple cap, very slight tooth, nice oil sheen and a rich coffee and barnyard aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plenty of thick very chewy smoke, with medium bodied flavors of an oily, rich smooth tobacco and a long finish. The first third has a thick meaty and tobacco taste with cinnamon kicking in especially on the finish. It has a sweet oily feel and bit of spice kick, leaving a deep smooth mouthfeel. 30 minutes in at the 1/2 way point it needed a small touchup to correct a slanted burn and loose draw, it was fine after that. Flavors shift to a much lighter medium body dropping the sweetness just leaving a more airy smooth tobacco and earth combo with a very heavy finish like taking a shot. Ending at 1:10 the last third dropped the earth for a bit of milk chocolate and oily roast coffe, bringing up the deep feeling on the finish, and adding a bit of strength rush at the end.
