Macanudo Maduro Diplomat Cigar Review
Macanudo Maduro Diplomat Cigar Review
This 4.5×60 perfecto offers a very oily dark chocolate wrapper with very firm construction, minimal veins and a very small cap & shoulder that gave me a bit of trouble cutting as far as unraveling. Draw was very firm, almost plugged, offering little smoke output and somewhat muted flavors. What did come out of it were very nice notes of cream, light tobacco, sweetness and a hint of pepper with a very short clean finish on the first third. The center section required two touch-ups and changed to a very light sweet leather. Getting to the last third the draw suddenly opened up, producing tons of rich creamy smoke, a creamy earthy leather and a good pepper zing. The center section was obviously not constructed properly. Thank you very much to Jeremie Plouffe for sending this sample in for review! Photography by BG Pictures.

Wow…your wonderful photographic images of this cigar made my mouth water at the beginning of the review. Nice job seeing it through to the end. It would have been hard for me to be that patient. Another quality review. Enjoyed it very much. Thanks
Wow, I had lot’s of those sticks it is a crazy shape but never had any burn or tight draw’s, you must of had a bad one. It definately looked in the review poorly constructed. I actually use a v-cutter on smaller ring gauge. You can maybe try that trick in the futur. I know it gives beautiful flavor’s, sorry you had a not so much enjoyable experience.
Great Review !
It certainly may have been a dud, it was my only sample. Still, anyone buying this off the shelf would have the same experience, regardless of cut type. The problem was the pack, not the cut.
