Jordan Alexander III The Legend Robusto Cigar Review – This 5×52 stick features a dark brown satin smooth wrapper with a firm even pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, large pigtailed double cap and a closed foot.  First light reveals a perfect draw with very smooth medium-full bodied smoke showing flavors of a deep peppery tobacco but without the spice or zing.  The finish is long and of the same.  The first third comes down to mild-medium sweet cedar quickly followed by a plain smooth tobacco and pepper on the finish.  25 minutes in by the 1/2 way point it’s just a straight plain tobacco on both the draw and finish.  Construction is excellent with a perfect draw, good smoke output and sharp burn.  Ending at 50 minutes where the last couple inches got very hot and mushy, I ended it.

The pigtail can be twisted off like you said..then its not just for looks / marketing…also the closed foot is to taste the wrapper with out any filler when you first light it…not just looks either…yea it helps but thats not the only reason for the closed foot and pig tail cap.
