Blessed Leaf Kairos Cigar Review

This 6.25×52 box pressed stick features a dark tan mottled wrapper with small veins, tight seams, a soft squishy pack, butter soft feel, triple cap and sweet hay aroma. First light reveals a slightly loose draw with copious amounts of rich full bodied smoke showing flavors of a slightly sweet, oily smooth hay, nut and light earth, with a decent pepper kick through the finish. The first third burns quickly but well, adding a cream to the draw with the same nuttiness, while the overall body comes down a tick to medium-full. The finish is taken over by a big pepper zing and slight spice, lasting well to the next draw. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes continuing the great rich smoke output, with a slightly wonky burn but not needing a touchup. Flavors consolidate slightly, dropping the cream sticking with a big nut and pepper combo both on the draw and long finish. Ending at 1 hour the last third burned very well staying nice and cool all the way to the nub holding the same flavors. Thank you to BlessedLeaf.com for sending this for review!

I wouldn’t care if this thing was the $1.00 Padron Killer. Linked to the site and first thing I saw was some god proselytizing. NO THANKS!

    • Elijah Craig

That’s the whole point of the cigar”blessed Leaf”. Its a cigar smoking Christian culture product. They don’t try to hide it. It’s for like minded ppl.

      • raja

Then like minded people are welcome and free to smoke them. I’ll pass.

        • phaedron

Having married into a Jewish family, I clicked on their little video link entitled “Passover Teaching.” Wow. Clearly, neither of these guys has cracked open even the children’s version of the Haggadah. To the philosophical point being bandied about in these comments, I’m sure there are plenty of businesses I patronize that are run by Christians, Jews, Muslims, or atheists. For me, it’s just best that they don’t make a point of telling me…

  • Raz Amzaleg

Great flavors, sounds really tasty cigar..
Thank you very much for the review Man!

Oh, and by the way.. I really like your timing, hehehe, any time i light a cigar, you are upload a review, its nice to smoke and watch a new review 🙂

  • yosef5

    Another good review and cigar
    Thanks

  • Texvet

The guys behind The Blessed Leaf also own and produce the Ezra Zion brand of cigars. Don’t let the possibility of eternal life scare you away some excellent smokes.

    • raja

Thanks for the info on Ezra Zion. I’ll be sure to put them on my “Don’t Buy” list too.

      • Texvet

I suspect they will survive. You can spend the money your not spending with the Erza guys, to finance the next toy on Bryan’s wish list. I am sure he’ll be there for you if you need anything.

        • raja

I’m gonna spend it on some more Bucanero Full Sail Maduros.

  • BradyBurlsworth

Im glad Christians have entered the Cigar industry and are using it to evangelize. I’ll definitely be getting some of these. Makes me even prouder to be a Christian

    • Fudoshin

The definition of evangalize is : e·van·ge·lize
      iˈvanjəˌlīz/
      verb
convert or seek to convert (someone) to Christianity.
synonyms:convert, proselytize, redeem, save, preach to, recruit; More

      preach the Christian gospel.
“the Church’s mission to evangelize and declare the faith”

If that makes you proud to be a christian then I can see why religion is on the downswing in this country. Having your faith is fine if that’s what you choose but to try and actively push it on others who may or may not want you to makes me cringe. I hope your comment was sarcasm.

      • BradyBurlsworth

Christianity built this country. Its definitely not the downswing. I guess I’m not understanding your point. Jesus commands christian’s to “Go and Make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.” It’s what I intend to do and what Blessed Leaf intends to do. God Bless

        • raja

Just a few facts…. The framers of the Constitution were Deists, not Christians. They spoke about god as the creator, but had precious little to say about Jesus. During the fight to end slavery the religious people who spoke out most vociferously were Unitarians. Unitarians are not Christians. Christians trolled the bible for a justification to perpetuate slavery. I could go on and on, but the point is this country was not and is not built on a belief in the death, resurrection and saving grace of a 1st century C.E.apocalypticist. This country was built on work and a sense of citizenship, both of which seem to be in decline,

        • Fudoshin

I was going to reply but Raja kind of beat me to it. The fact that you don’t understand the point I’m trying to make is kind of the point.

  • MongoJay

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

  • Greg Bellante

Bryan. I thought you would step in and explain to some of these people that you generously
provided this section for comments pertaining to the CIGARS YOU REVIEW and not for a discussion on religious beliefs. If people such as Fudoshin and Raja have a problem with Christianity then they should contact Blessed Leaf.com and let them have a chance to rebut them. This is a Cigar forum and should be treated as one, all other topics should be discussed elsewhere. Thanks

    • Texvet

Yes – please set us straight about discussions on religious beliefs. While your at it, remind us how (your) self promotion and personal gain is a better use of the CO website.

      • Stokeasmogie

        You’re*

        • AngSolo

“you’re” is a contraction of you and are, while “your” is the possessive form of you which Texvet used correctly implying possession of self promotion. If YOU’RE

          • AngSolo

going to correct someone make sure YOU’RE at least correct…

          • AngSolo

while I’m at it smoking is also considered a sin like everything thing else thats pleasurable. Your body is a temple for your spirit and smoking damages your body so smoking is not for Gods glory. Look it up…Corithians….Why link religion with cigars? I have no idea other than to make money. Is it for Gods glory to sell cigars? My opinion is No….In the end who cares? if you don’t like it don’t buy the cigar.

          • Stokeasmogie

“While your at it” is wrong. It should be “while you’re at it”. You should make sure YOU’RE correct before you correct someone for correcting someone.

            Smoking is not a sin.

1 Corinthians 6:12 “All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.”

Smoking is not sinful, the addiction to it is. Just as the addiction to anything is a sin. Now, I know you were referring to the following verses:

Verses 19 & 20: 19 “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.”

This verse is about sexual immorality, as you can see in the previous verses (15-18). It’s a common mistake

          • AngSolo

where did I say “while your at it” ? I said “while I’m at it….so before you correct someone who just corrected someone make sure YOU’RE

          • Stokeasmogie

The original correction was towards textvet “Yes – please set us straight about discussions on religious beliefs. WHILE YOUR AT IT, remind us how (your) self promotion and personal gain is a better use of the CO website.” You corrected me saying I was wrong for correcting textvet, when in fact you were wrong for correcting me. And I do agree with you about the personal monetary gain. If that is what Blessed Leaf is doing then I disagree with their practices. Hopefully they are using it to spread the good news!

          • AngSolo

Yes I see it now. Guess I got stuck on the “your” in parentheses in texvet original post. I stand corrected. As for Blessed Leaf I also hope they are doing the right thing as well.

          • Stokeasmogie

Lol I thought that was what happened. Have a great night!

      • Greg Bellante

Texvet : I have no idea what the hell your talking about ok. 1st off i don’t talk religion on a cigar site , so setting you straight on religious beliefs is inappropriate in this forum. 2nd Where do you get off that my comment was for self promotion and personal gain??? That’s so ridiculous it’s not way out in left field… it’s out of the ball park !. Foul not fair.

    • Fudoshin

It’s interesting that you criticize myself and Raja but not brady for off topic conversations while at the same time not having a single word to say about the cigar. Have you been designated forum moderator? If Bryan wants this shut down he will come here and say so in which case I would be happy to let it go. He is certainly not afraid to let us know nor does he need you to be forum police for him. Neither Raja nor I started this Off Topic “topic” we responded. Direct your criticism where it belongs or, better yet, don’t say anything that is not related to the cigar in question if you feel that strongly about your own brand of forum etiquette.

      • Stokeasmogie

Raja was the first to start the Off Topic “Topic”. Brady commented about how he likes how the cigar company conducts their business, which is related to the cigar. You were the one who took it off topic by bashing evangelism, which is what all Christians are called to do. I think he directed it perfectly.

        • Fudoshin

“Im glad Christians have entered the Cigar industry and are using it to evangelize. I’ll definitely be getting some of these. Makes me even prouder to be a Christian”

That statement is not on topic in any sense when talking about that particular cigar nor was any response following. The name of the video review was “Blessed Leaf Kairos Cigar Review” Not “What is your opinion of the company using cigars to evangelize” If the original statement in question related to the cigar and his opinion of it this discussion would never have taken place.

My point was that the criticism of being off topic should be applied equally – which it wasn’t.

          • Greg Bellante

Ok, you make a valid point , I should have mentioned that Brady as well as you and Raj refrain from comments not related to the Cigar review. I didn’t mention Brady because his comment was a lot less toxic than yours and Raj and wasn’t meant to start a firestorm of dissension among the people commenting on this review.

          • Texvet

Get yourself a tissue Greg – My response was to Bryan, based on your cry for him to “step in and explain to some of these people”. I still enjoy watching Bryan’s reviews. What I struggle with is his use of members and sponsors for his personal benefit.

    • raja

I wonder what your response to my comment would have been if this cigar company had been called the Hammer And Sickle Bolshevick Atheistic Leaf and the first thing you saw when entering the site was a banner proclaiming “God is a Myth” and I said No thanks I’ll shop elsewhere?

  • Eddy13

Up next, a review on Devil’s Weed cigars…

  • cigarsonist
