J&D Cigar Co Allure Torpedo Cigar Review

This 6×52 stick features a dark brown oily slightly spongy wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams and a pungent barnyard aroma. First light reveals a good draw with rich mild-medium smoke output showing a smooth silky sweet tobacco and a long finish of the same with a little zing on the tongue. The first third comes up to a solid medium body showing the same soft silky, creamy texture and oily long finish. Flavors on the draw are a very slightly sweet leather, shifting to a mellow earth and pepper through the finish. The 1/2 way point comes at 35 minutes, moving to a very smooth sweet caramel and light leather, both of which stay through the thick long finish. Construction is excellent with a great draw and burn, dropping the ash in third chunks. One hour in to the last inch it starts to get warm and squishy so I’ll end it on a good note. No strength and the same great flavors all the way down the last third! Thank you very much to J&D for providing this sample at the 2013 IPCPR show to review!

The video quality on this review was excellent – better than normal, did you something different? 🙂

I noticed this as well. Seems sharper somehow.

    • Nope, same as usual, just might be you are used to night vids 🙂

Who cares about their website, their landing page is worth the visit.

I don’t agree MDSPHOTO. If I’m looking for info on a cigar I’d like to try, then that’s what I expect to find on the makers site. Even better would be an online shop to purchase or at least links to online dealers.

If all I find is a page with semi-nude women and a email addy, then I’m disappointed. (There’s plenty of better eye candy on the web.) In addition, they will lose business by making the customer walk uphill for the info.

Relax Francis I was making a joke!

Touch my comment again and I’ll kill ya …

We’ll played sir! Though I realized after watching it again late last night that the actual line is “Lighten up Francis”.
