Gurkha Crest Churchill Cigar Review

This 7×52 stick features a glove soft spongy dark brown wrapper with a dry feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap and very pungent barnyard aroma. First light reveals a great draw with good medium bodied smoke output showing a smooth slightly bitter tobacco and a long earthy finish. The first third mellows to a mild-medium body, quickly dropping the bitterness for just a plain soft tobacco. The finish is a mix of straight tobacco and a slight earth, still long but very mild. The 2nd third drops the ash cleanly at the transition point, also shifting the flavors to a tobacco, dry coffee and slight cocoa mix with a soft earthy finish. The last third burns great with a nice slow even progression ending at 1:15 to the nub, great smoke output and draw. Flavors are largely unchanged with just a nice cream joining on the draw while the body comes up to a solid medium with no strength. Thank you very much to viewer Kenny Yohn for sending this in for review! And Happy Halloween 😉

What’s with the extra 2:08 minutes of dead space at the end?
Knowing how you can be surprising, I made my way though it just it case you slipped something in.

    • Rico

Hahahahahaha. Hey B that was a good one. Lol. I thought somebody put something in my drink. Happy Halloween to you to brother.

You scared the hell out of me good job

I think you’ve gone mad. . . Mad for Gurkhas! This cigar sounds pretty good, but for my Halloween smoke, a local retailer was one of the “Unlucky 13” that received dress boxes of the Tatuajee JV13 “Jason”, and I had to pick one up. But I have been digging Gurkas and East India Trading Company AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH…. Sticks lately and I’ll keep an eye out for this one.

…Happy Halloween! I don’t think that trick works as well in print.

Oh my god, you scared me so much hehehehehehehehhe

Wow, sounds pretty good Cigar and makes me kinda jealous, last year I got samples of Gurkhas and probably the were too long outside an humidor, because honestly they didn’t tasted any good, too dry and hot spicy, but I had even worst ones. I still looking forward to try a good Gurkha sometime.

  • rockjock

Funny. Sounds ok, but like you, I like more flavor out of my cigars.

  • Gary

    Happy Halloween B.

What was with the fog horn?

  • montyz

How long did it take you to fill the lighter?

    • Same as any other, couple seconds. It makes no difference.

Yea Byran ; You scared the Bejeepers out of me as well as other fellow brother Cigar smokers here. My reaction was of shock and i automatically spit at your image LMAO SS about that. I find the Gurkha line of cigar fair with my favorite the Park Ave. I might give this one a try though in a robusto as i don’t have time for a big Churchill .

  • smokethis

Wow you scared me even with the warnings from the posts.lol

  • Ted Stevens lit up when he saw the stoop shouldered old gentleman step into the senator’s Fireweed Lane campaign headquarters tonight. Stevens strode up to him with a big handshake.

  • Bruno J. Cerri

I was not expecting that hahaha!!! Nice touch Bryan 😉
