Foundry War Of Currents Shoreham Cigar Review

This 5.5×56 stick features a dark brown oily satin textured slightly toothy wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, triple cap, firm even pack and rich tobacco and pepper aroma. First light reveals a light draw with airy smoke showing mil-medium flavors of a slightly bitter tobacco and long finish. The first third quickly drops the bitterness going to a sweet slightly caramel oily nut with a gritty tobacco core, up to a medium body. Hitting the 1/2 way point just 20 minutes in the 2nd third adds a touch of cream to the draw and some pepper on the finish carrying over the other core flavors and going to a mild-medium body at most. Ending at 50 minutes the last third changes everything up, going to a medium-full body with a mild-medium strength showing a creamy textured nut and cinnamon on the draw followed by a long smooth finish of the same. Thank you very much to Foundry Cigars for providing this for review!

    Sounds great! interesting cigar.
the cennamon taste was dominant cennamon taste or just a lightly taste of cennamon?
I realy want to find a cigar that have a dominant taste of cennamon from the beggining to the end.

    Great review Bryan!

Really enjoyed the original foundry with the gear. Will be looking for this one.

  • phaedron

What?! There’s no gear or cog or lever included? How am I going to finish my steam-powered robot?!

    • gtclark

      Ha! It’s a steam-punk clock, isn’t it? I can’t remember…

    • Derek

The cog is used as a key to open the new Foundry humidor.

    Bryan,
The thunderstorm was a great background for the review.

The thunderstrom did not bother me.I was
    I was listening to you.
    Thanks dor another good review

  • lazyboy

Thunderstorm??? Thought that was the construction noise from the dome being built. Either way, what a great name for a cigar. War of Currents. Don’t know what it means, but I like it.

  • Christopher

Damn! That sounds like a nice cigar.

First review I’ve been able to watch, with me being busy and broke for a while. Wanted to check this one out as I was pretty interested in the whole Foundry thing. This sounds ok, nothing amazing, but like a pretty pleasant smoke. Shame there’s no fun steampunk gimmick item with it. I liked the original thought about the line, it was fun and a good conversation starter. Not to mention I like the 3 I have sitting in my humidor as tiny little decoration.
