Tabacalera Zapata Robustos Cigar Review
This 5×50 stick features a dark tan buttery smooth wrapper with a firm pack, minimal veins, tight seams, triple cap and soft barnyard aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with decent medium-bodied smoke output showing flavors of a slightly bitter smooth tobacco with a grassy short finish. The first third quickly drops the bitterness in favor of a touch of sweet along with a medium bodied creamy spicy vanilla. The finish morphs to a nutty tobacco with an oily mouthfeel and a spicy tingle left over on the lips. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes I tap the ash off to prevent a huge mess lol! Flavors on the draw are still medium bodied with no strength, dropping the sweet and vanilla notes in favor of a toast and tobacco. The long finish moves to a deep oily earth, lasting to the next draw. Finishing it off at the hour mark to the nub, a bit of the sweetness joins back in the draw for the last third with a rise in spice on the lips along with the smoke temperature. Construction is still flawless. Thank you very much to Kuuts.com for sending this in!
