Angelenos Robusto Cigar Review

This 5.2×50 stick made by the God of Fire people features a dark tan supple velvet wrapper with minimal veins, tight seams, triple cap, even firm dense pack and rich woody aroma. First light reveals an easy draw with good smoke output showing mild-medium bodied flavors of a very smooth creamy textured sweet wood with a long finish. The first third burns along much the same, with a good but not perfect burn line, great smoke output but still on the simple mild side of things. Hitting the 1/2 way point just 20 minutes in, flavors remain the same while the body eeks up to a medium. Ending at 45 minutes, construction was excellent all the way down, with flavors slowly shifting to a caramel any nut combo with a dry cedar finish. Thank you very much to viewer Rick Paniagua for sending this one in to try!

I’ve only had one of these, and I found it to be enjoyable, but not particularly exciting. A good mild accompaniment to a cup of coffee in the morning, but on the pricey side. The ash on mine was also very flaky.

Sounds good, have to try these

God of Fire is one of my favorite brands. I love the flavor and complexity. So I expected more from the Angelenos. Well you don’t always get what you expect!! Nuf said.

    I agree – sometimes I feel like a lot (of complexity), sometimes I don’t!

I go through the same thing with candy bars and whatnot!!

    Sorry, couldn’t help myself 🙂

I’ll have to check on what other sizes they have as I like a longer smoke, Sounds good though.

Sounds like a good one to go with my morning coffee and the paper…

Great review as always. I always look to your reviews when looking to try new things and they always help. Only thing I wish you could tell us is the average price for the stick your reviewing. I know I could easily jump over to ci or cbid and look. But I’m a lazy. What can I say. Either way. Thanks for doin what ya do.
