Gran Habano GH2 Robusto Cigar Review

This 5×50 stick features dark brown dry slightly toothy wrapper with a firm, pack, minimal veins, tight seams, double cap and rich chocolate and hay aroma. First light reveals a snug draw with good medium bodied smoke output showing flavors of a dry chocolate with a short clean finish. The first third goes very quickly, dropping the ash just 15 minutes in. Flavors are a soft wood and chocolate with a growing but still relatively short finish. Burn is good, not perfect but not showing any problems. Still burning quickly, hitting the band just 35 minutes in, flavors improve to a richer chocolate and wood with a fuller long finish. perfect construction and burn and medium-full body. Ending at 45 minutes the last bit stayed the same. Thank you very much to viewer Adam Fahrner for sending this sample in!

Nice quick smoke with some good flavors. I will have to keep an eye out for these.

Great review ‘brother.’ I am looking forward to trying this stick out for myself. I have always been into the chocolatey, and sweet cigars, but not the infused ones. Those are too much for me. Thanks again, keep up the great work! Look forward to finding more sweet sticks!

Boy that was a fast one.

nice review this one sounds interesting and affordable!gran

Pretty dang good review for a cheap bundle stick. Best one I’ve come across so far. May have to break down and get some. Literally buck and a half sticks, though it looks like they may be a Famous Smoke exclusive. Again, though, if it tastes that decent, could be a good everyday burner.

Yep, quick check and none of the other big online shops have these, but they’re running at Famous at $32 for a 20 bundle. Definitely considering it.

      On order 🙂

    • Craig

Yeah this definitely sounds like a deal. At around $1.60 a stick how can you beat that!
      Thanks for the review Byran.

Wow! That’s not bad at all…

sounds like my kind of smoke, im a big fan of chocolate or coco flavors. those are about the only flavors i can pick out and pepper/spicy flavors.

  • stevesatch

Seems like the Gran Habano Corojo Vintage 2002 is still the better choice.

  • boy that was a quickie, sounded pretty decent though.

  • Jason Isbaner

    Sounds like a must try

  • napaboss

sounds a little bit like the 829’s
I smoke almost everyday good smoke

  • ptyler

Backyard coming along nice there in the background!

  • rockjock

I bought a maza of their vintage ones. Those were definitely worth the price. Sounds like the GH2 is worth a look too.

  • sparkmark

Gran Habano is one of my favorite go to brands for an everyday smoke.

  • joeld0710

Sounds like a good one when time is short.

    • smokethis

Not a fan of GH but this one looks pretty good.

  • rgmenke

You had me at “chocolate”. The other Gran Habano I’ve had (2002) was very woody and plugged. Looks like I need to give this one a try to even out the brand experience.

Seems like a great budget cigar, which I’ve been on the lookout for recently. I just got a job in Orlando, which is about an hour to an hour and a half commute from where I’m at, so a decently quick smoke is also good. Plus, I love sweet flavors.

On a side note, with the focus on the fence, for some reason, I couldn’t NOT watch the fence. lol Great review!

I used that cigar as a “packing peanut” to take up space in the shipping box for my last lotto entry. Lol. Glad you liked it.:) They are a quick smoke, but that’s not a bad thing sometimes. I got a mazo of them, and a handful canoed, but picked em’ up on CA for under a $1 ea. shipped so it didn’t hurt tossing the few bad ones.

Never had a gran habano. Seems like a smoke that I would like. Will have to pick some up

  • weimerad

I wasn’t a big fan of this blend. Like other GHs better

  • MaxDuo

Sounds like a pleasant stick. Will try to remember it to test out someday!

Also the birds are singing outside at 4PM right now, and I was going to make some comment about your sound coming through so well that it sounded real! (somehow they always stopped singing at the moments I paused so it seemed like it really was from the video…).

I tried this cigar out of curiosity yesterday and found it very very nice to smoke in the evening after a full meal. Very nice texture and a creamy smooth finish with a spicy aroma to it.

    9/10 rating – Excellent

“Background?” For the second half of the review, the foliage and fence were the only thing in focus. Bryan, you trying to show off your plants or what? As usual, great review. The “industry” standard.
