Final Blend Churchill Cigar Review

This 7×50 stick features a very dark chocolate mottled wrapper with small veins, tight invisible seams, large double cap, firm even pack, slight tooth and oily feel with a rich chocolate and manure aroma. First light reveals a mild-medium body showing a light airy musty earth on the draw with a short clean finish. The first third burns well but very quickly, shifting down to a plain mild earth on the draw keeping the short finish. Hitting the 1/2 way point 30 minutes in, it’s still mild at the very most, honestly pretty frustrating to smoke because it’s so weak and plain. No complaints about construction, but it’s only showing $1 cheap bundle flavor. Finally ending at 1:05 min the whole thing proved to be the same experience. Thank you very much to viewer Randy Knott for sending this one in!

  • Jason Isbaner

Did not sound good at all!

  • Joseph Szeremet

I have been toying with the idea of picking up a 5 pack of these. Not anymore! I will admit, it does have a cool band.

    • TimB

That’s also why you can’t buy cigars by the look of the band…

      • Tommz81

        Good point.

        • derek_straus

KInd of makes you want to think twice about buying a awesome looking cigar that is new to your local B&M… Man did that one look good , but failed to preform flavor wise.

  • TimB

Well this one goes on the list not to waste time or money on.Thanks Bryan.

  • This sounded exactly like the Gurkha Centurian I had recently. Super one dimensional, light burnt wood and earth, but nothing else, they smelled nice but it was just very boring to smoke for me.

  • garlar10

“only showing $1 cheap bundle flavor”… Ouch! lol. Good to know this cigar is so mild boring. I was thinking about trying these but I think I will now steer clear. Thanks,

  • lrogers

Thanks for the review. Appreciate you being honest about your experience.

  • dgrambo

I had much better experience with this brand. Havent tried the Churchill but the toro and robusto were nice flavorful medium body sticks.

  • HerbalJedi

Ouch, sounded rough. Glad I went with my goto La Aroma

  • ptyler

I was hoping for a good cigar toss at the end! Haven’t seen one of those in a while!

  • rockjock

I like the band, but you can’t judge a book by it’s cover. I do know some guy’s that would appreciate something like this for the “prop” value while us cigar guys delve into the full flavor side.

  • Gigalo de Vitolas

These are the reasons why I check your site. There are so many good cigars out there to try so instead I keep a small list of sticks on my phone to never buy and waste my time on. This will go on that list.

  • otrdriver6767

This is why I watch these videos. Thank you for your report. I will stay away from this one. On the 4th I went back to one of my old time favs Romeo y Julieta reserve. I cant go wrong with this one.

    • Craig

I agree. My first “favorite cigar” was the Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real !! I have many favorites now, but I come back to this one from time to time.
I appreciate this video for the what NOT to smoke as much as the ones that are what to smoke !!! Thanks Bryan

  • vscarpine

Well if it only has $1 worth of flavors I dont think I will try it unless I can pay that

  • weimerad

Surprised that it didn’t have much flavor

  • mufdvr6976

nice , its off the list!!

  • Jared

Well, at least it didn’t taste “bad”. Sounds like a attention-free yard stick that you wouldn’t mind chucking if you got some dust or grass up in your face.

  • USA2ndAmendment

Definitely good to know to stay away from these…I’d rather spend the money on something I would enjoy!

  • rgorman

We appreciate you being the testing guinea pig for all of us! You are a trooper and will give it a shot no matter how plain or terrible lol!

  • stevesatch

Funny that Famous chose to post pretty positive reviews.

  • Corey

Was laughing during this review. It was funny to me . Your reaction was priceless. LmaoI

  • markbrown247

I always laugh when I hear Bryan describe a Cigar as having a manure aroma. I consider myaelf still new and I know Bryan is just stating a fact of description, but does it make sense to put anything in your mouth that smells like that? I am just sharing a laugh here. And I have smelled some cigars like that myself at some shops. They don’t go in my mouth!

  • BCamara

Well that is a bummer. I love the unbiased reviews. You give us what your getting. I don’t mind a mild cigar here and there but geez… there’s gotta be some flavor there. You might as well pretend your smoking something lol. Great review, this is one that my O.C.D. isn’t inclined to try.

  • MaxDuo

    Sounds awful.

  • pkilco

That sounds like a boring cigar… i will not get this one. Thanks for the review though Brian!

  • Rickeyboy

Watching this review while smoking a JDN Antano. No Final Blends will be gracing my wineador anytime soon.

  • eric.hanson

I was curious about this one because of the Greek omega letter on it. But man your review told me this one wasn’t for me at all. I like a mild smoke every now and then, but like you it needs to have some interesting flavors for me to enjoy it.

  • Dirk

Boom.. thanks for the review.. I too HATE a simple flavorless cigar..

  • smokethis

I wanted to try these out so i bought a flight sampler about 1 year ago. They were so bad i actually tossed the last 3.

  • Bill

Why is it that the cheaper cigars have no taste, the companies that make them still use good tobacco I guess,or dont they? What do they put in them ?
